Mason’s Mission Nightstand is an Amish influenced design, It will be a 3 drawer nightstand made of soft maple and oak and stained with Minwax slate gray stain and clear coated with Watco Satin wipe -on poly. It will be the final piece in his bedroom suit. He is 2 years old now so he will soon be out of diapers and the changing table will be replaced with this piece. I will be documenting the process here and will have a video on the Youtube channel when complete.
Here are the documents from Sketchlist 3D design software.
Optimized Layouts Report - This layouts report is based on 6” wide and 96” boards and 4x8 sheet goods. If you are using a different side lumber adjustments must be made. I bit rough lumber and joint / plane myself.
Drawer Horizontal Dividers (cost covers) for the drawers are made of Poplar for the non-appearance boards, soft maple for the front appearance board and plywood for the panel. A 1/2” tongue and groove bit set are used for the full length groove to accept the tongues and the panel and the tongue on the side boards.
